Sharonda Latesha Alexander slipped away peacefully, and gained her wings, on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital in Richmond, VA where she was born February 27, 1983 to Levi Sherrod Alexander and Janette Kay Alexander.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents Charles and Lucille Winston, Edward and Rebecca Alexander, Godfather Anthony Brown, and bonus Grandparents Harold and Rebecca Tunstall.

At the tender age of 8 she joined Providence Baptist Church in Ashland, VA, where she sang on the youth choir and participated in the youth ministry. In July of 2006 she moved her membership to Abner Baptist Church where she served faithfully on the choir and the hospitality committee.

Sharonda attended school in Henrico County where she graduated from Hermitage High School in 2001. After completing high school, she attended St. Mary’s School of Nursing and earned her LPN certification. While continuing her education in pursuit of her RN license she attended numerous nursing institutes of learning. Throughout her career she worked at a number of healthcare facilities including Walter Reed Army Medical Center, in Bethesda, MD. Upon her return to Richmond, her career continued to flourish. She was often referred to by her coworkers as “the go-to-girl” for whatever you needed to know. Committed to provide her patients with the best care Sharonda was dedicated to serving others. She was employed with VCU Health Systems.

Sharonda’s smile and laughter, would brighten any room. She, along with her Mom, were always the “life of the party” at family functions and events. Sharonda had a big heart and was always willing to lend a helping hand. She loved her family. While we will deeply miss her, we will hold her memory forever in our hearts.

She leaves this world adored by her family: Her loving and dedicated parents Levi Sherrod Alexander and Janette Kay Alexander, Aunts Naomi and Maxine Alexander, Sallie Carter, Evelyn Winston, Grace Washington (William).
