Loretta Ann Lewis gained her wings on February 16, 2024, at Henrico Doctor’s Hospital; surrounded by her daughters and son-in-law with love and prayers. She was known by Lola and Mush amongst her family members, friends, and peers.
Loretta was born on July 25, 1950, to the late William Lee and Mary Elizabeth Johnson.

Loretta was baptized at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Doswell, VA. She attended Hanover County Public Schools in Hanover, VA. She worked for Sodexo located inside of the headquarters of the Division of Motor Vehicles of Richmond, VA, retiring after 25 plus years. She married Charles (Claude) B. Lewis on July 24, 1971, and was married for 26 years. They shared two daughters, Roshelle D. Lewis, and Claudette M. Turner.

Loretta was a fun-loving person with the most radiant smile and so full of love and energy. She loved to cook, watch her soap operas, and entertain with family and friends. Even though she didn’t drive she got everywhere she had to go. Most of her quality time was spent with her husband and daughters. Her humbling spirit and signature Sunday dinners will be greatly missed (macaroni and cheese, fried chicken). Words can’t express amongst everyone she shared her love, time, and energy with genuinely. Loretta conquered and endured more than you will know. A silent fighter of battles by God’s way claimed victory.

Loretta was preceded in death by her husband Charles B. Lewis, brother William Johnson, Jr. She is survived by her daughters, Roshelle D. Lewis, Claudette M. Turner (Antonio), stepdaughter, Stephanie Breaker; grandchildren, Jamir Mason (Marcus), Joshua Turner, Elijah Turner, Israel Turner, Reggie Bowles, Tamarika Breaker; sisters, Ann Lee Woolfolk, Constance Holden; sisters-in-law, Barbara Turner (Melvin), Nancy Jenkins, Joyce Wright; brother-in-law, Walden T. Hunter, Jr. (Barbara); Godmother, Laura Johnson. Other longtime friends include Ella Johnson, Tina Roberson, Melissa Roberson, Seteena Barnes and devoted niece, Angela Morris. A host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
