Zo, you were a really good dude. I cherish the times I picked you, Malachi and Taylor up to go with the Brotherhood Club on our outings. As has been said, you were beyond your years in wisdom. I’m happy that I got to spend that time around you. As my sister Eunice wrote, you brought the Male Chorus version of Silent Night to life. CC and family, you have my deepest condolences. RIP Lil’ Cousin.

CeeCee, Joyce and family, When I think of Zo, I remember those sweet teenage vocals of his assisting our Male Chorus at Christmastime when they were without that third lead singer for “Silent Night”. He touched our souls! I know he will be greatly missed by family and friends, but you will always carry him in your hearts.

Goodbye, Zo. You were one of my favorite young men at Church & in the community; you always accepted being corrected as long as you were given the reason why you needed to change what you were doing. To your families, I know you will miss Zo physically but spiritually he will always be with you. God makes no mistakes.

Lorenzo was a good man. He was an intelligent man and I always knew he was smarter than me. In alternative school, he taught himself physics and chemistry without any help from his teachers. He got honor roll. He worked hard in school. If it wasn’t for Louisa County racist policies, Lorenzo would have went to pursue his education further. When Lorenzo became a father, he called me and was crying. He said he loved his son more than anything and hasn’t felt something so powerful in his life. We’ve planned his child’s future, making statements that he would never have to survive. Messiah would thrive and be great. I vow to make that happen myself. Lorenzo should be here
