Henry Cleveland Temple Jr of King William County, Virginia, entered eternal rest on July 23, 2021, at home surrounded by his loving family. Henry Jr (as he was known) was born on October 10, 1956, and he was the eldest child of Henry and Iva Temple. He became a dedicated member of Total Praise Worship Center in Ashland, Virginia, after installing carpet at the church and remained faithful over the last ten years.

Henry Jr received his formal education in the King William County Public School System, graduating with many certificates in mechanics. Besides being a car repairman, he was also a handyman and a miscellaneous man for anyone who called him. A former employee referred to him as a “Teddy Bear,” who was kind-hearted, soft-spoken, and would do anything for anyone in need of help. There was nothing he was not able to do.

He was a remarkable son, an amazing brother, a wonderful uncle, and a loving father. However, his best title was Grandfather. He loved his grandchildren with all his heart and soul. He would do anything for them, and all of them were special to him.

Henry Jr was preceded in death by his nephew, Kashif Temple. He leaves to cherish loving memories to his dedicated and devoted daughters, Stacy and Tracy Curtis; his devoted parents, Henry and Iva Temple; three dedicated sisters, Amelia Temple, Linda (Clayton) Washington, and Tara Temple; four loyal grandchildren, Taniah Winston, Aaliyah Winston, Logan Winston, and Xavier Winston; one nephew, Dante “Keon” Washington; two nieces, Tanganyika Washington and Porshia Marsh; one great-nephew, Caleb Thompson; two great-nieces, Destiny Washington, and Beautiful Foremen; a host of cousins, devoted, Cynthia Conway, Julia Wilkerson- Johnson, Roberta Wilkerson, and Lydell Washington and many friends to include Ashanti Rawlings, Kamryn Rawlings , Amoni Banks, Joanne Curtis, and two special friends, Artemus Norris and James Stewart.
