On February 2, 2021, Eula Jean Colbert peacefully entered her eternal resting place. Eula was born on December 18, 1948 in Portsmouth, Virginia to the late Howard and Corrine Hill.

Growing up Eula attended Noble Street Baptist Church where she at an early age accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior. She began to sing with the Hill Family gospel group The Family of Love where she was known for her beautiful soft voice. She later joined St. John Baptist Church where she faithfully served for over 25 years as a loyal member. She served on several committees at the church which included 2 choirs and Sunday school teacher.

Eula attended Portsmouth Public Schools and graduated from I. C. Norcom High School. She then continued her education and graduated from Norfolk State University earning her bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and became a PROUD AKA life member.
Eula met the love of her life Reginald C. Colbert. They wed and spent almost 36 years married; in love and smitten with one another. She was a loving wife, stepmother, grandmother, aunt, cousin and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family laughing, cooking, and singing.

Eula was preceded in death by Reginald C. Colbert (husband); Howard A. Hill, Sr. and Corrine Hill (parents); Pauline White and Irene Griffin (sisters); Howard A. Hill, Jr. (brother).

Eula leaves to cherish her memory Stephanie Colbert-Lewis (stepdaughter); Stanton, Justin, Kirsten, Dylan, and Ricky (grandchildren); Olivia and Autumn (great grandchildren); four brothers – Roy C. Hill, Sr. (Margaret), Larry B. Hill (Tina), Rev. Ray A. Hill (Rose), Daniel Hill (Phyllis); Ethel Wright, Mabel Harris, Bettie Rose Moss (aunts), and Lee Moss (uncle).
