Edmond Baylor also known as “Buck” departed this worldly life and entered the heavenly Kingdom on February 21, 2024, surrounded by family members.

At an early age, Edmond accepted faith in Christ and joined Second Mount Zion Baptist Church, Hanover, Virginia. Being a dedicated member, he joined the Men’s Chorus and the Men’s Fellowship. In addition, Edmond was a member of several organizations: Ancient Arabic Order of Nobles of the Mystic Shrine of North and South America; Sons of Solomon – Royal Arch (33rd Degree) and Knights Templar of the United States and Canada, Incorporated.

Edmond was preceded in death by his loving wife, Helen, his parents; Emmett and Mary Baylor and his siblings. He leaves to cherish his memories, three children; Edmond Baylor, Jr., Aretha Jackson and Evelyn Baylor-Holmes, three grandchildren; Martinez Baylor (Crystal), Angela Loughridge (Gregg) and Chanel Cook, two great grandchildren; Damani and Keymani Baylor, one sister-in-law; Hattie Y. Baylor, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends, devoted Mark Cash and Jeffery Fells.

Edmond was wise, kind, respectful and dependable. He would willingly share his knowledge of gardening, landscaping, marking, measuring and preparing the final resting place for families’ loved ones with others. His culinary skills included sweet potato pies, buttermilk biscuits, yeast rolls, and a variety of home-cooked meals. He enjoyed the sunshine. Edmond would say, “Let me get some of this vitamin D.”
