“Bless the LORD, ye His angels, that excel in strength, that do His commandments, hearkening unto the voice of His word.” Psalm 103:20. To the family of the late Deacon Mac Thomas, the Union Baptist Church Family of Beaverdam extends heartfelt sympathy to you at heaven’s gain of your loved one. Words cannot express how humble we are at your loss but heaven’s gain. We will always keep memories of Dea. Thomas held deeply within our hearts. The departure of your loved one will undoubtedly bring emptiness of love in our hearts. “After these things I looked, and behold a door standing open in heaven. And the first voice which I heard was like a trumpet speaking with me, saying ‘”Come up here and I will show you things which must take place after this. ‘ Immediately I was in the spirit; and behold a throne set in heaven, and One set on the throne. (Revelation 4:1-2 Though we cannot fully understand the grief you are experiencing, be assured that you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. God will give you strength to bear this loss, heaven’s gain, as only He can. As Christians, we know this earthly tabernacle is not our real home, “And there shall be no more curse: but the throne of God and the Lamb shall be in it; and His servants shall serve Him; and they shall see His face; and His name shall be in their foreheads. And there shall be no night there; and they need no candle, neither light of the sun; for the LORD God giveth them light, and they shall reign forever and ever.” (Revelation 22:3-5), Please remember that the Union Baptist Church-Beaverdam is here to assist in any manner needed in your time of sorrow. May the LORD’S precious promises bring you strength for today and tomorrow. Respectively Done by the order of Union Baptist Church-Beaverdam, Rev. Christopher K Stevens, Pastor Diane Stevens, Secretary Jill Holmes, Church Clerk

A tribute to my Brother Mack Wilbur Thomas Bro. Wilbur i have been thinking about you in a special way every sense I heard about your home going on 6-23-23 specially about our worship of God and work for Him in the old Jericho building when we wee kids. I remember at the front near the pulpit were pews on either side two facing east to west where the deacons set and tow facing east to west where the deaconess set. from there the lead the praise time and kept a keen eye on the congregation specially the children; and one of us got too far out of line due in service someone from one of those front pews would quietly get up from their pew to where he or she [the child] was and help “as the would say” to get things back in order this they were (Training up the child in the way he should go: that when he is old he will not depart from it. A Premonition: on Sunday morning as Doris and I were driving to Mt. Carmel God gave me a premonition of you on your job at the airport. I imagining that as you labored there each day you saw airplanes ascending and descending carrying carrying someone from where they were back home or bringing someone from where they had been back home; in either case the purpose was to get the person home. Bro. Mack, what I had of you this Sunday was not a premonition but what I and many others saw and heard of you and from you many Sundays in Jericho as well as many Church’s. Bro. Mack we saw you ascend from the floor up the steps to the choir stand in Jericho take the mike in hand humming as (Sis Marge Dickerson) would play softly on the piano then you would put the mike to your mouth and start to sing your song the one I want to talk about is you would say some glad morning when this life is over I’ll fly away. then you would tell us where you were flying to you would say to a home on God’s celeste shore i’ii fly away Just a few more weary days and then I’ii fly away to a land where joy shall never end I’II fly away. Bro. Mack on June 26- 2023 you took that journey home not by a commercial plane made by man but an angle sent by God. so sleep on Bro. Mack (in Jesus) we’ll see you soon. From: Uncle Eddie, Aunt Doris & Eddie Nelson Jr. To Sis Doris & family.

Doris and family, “May the work Mack done speak for Him” Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. Saying goodbye to a loved one is surely one of life’s most difficult tasks. There are no words powerful enough, no music soothing enough to ease your pain a time like this. But I know that you all will find consolation in knowing how much you all loved and cared for each other. Although it’s a goodbye for now it is only until you all meet again someday when the emptiness will turn to fulfillment, your despair to joy and all will be able to love again for eternity in that place where no one grows old. With Deepest Sympathy in your time of Loss Janet (Sugar) and Family

I am sending my condolences, love, prayers and support. Mr. Mack Thomas, a true cornerstone of Jericho Baptist Church! My, oh my, could he lead a song and get every person in the church standing to their feet. An amazing man that wore many hats with titles to include husband, father, son, brother, cousin, grandfather, uncle, friend, Deacon—but the most important of them all is CHILD OF GOD! Mack was known all over the community and would always greet you with a warm embrace and a big smile! He was a family man full of love, joy and SONG. I know the heavens are rejoicing because I am certain that Mack entered God’s gate singing, shouting, praising and celebrating his life and his legacy as he was met by our Savior telling him welcome home my son, Well done! He will be missed and always loved! We all will cherish his memories and will be forever thankful that another child of God has made it to his eternal home! With love, TK

To my beloved family , May God continue to keep you in his care. Hearing that uncle Mack is now at rest was sad but at the same time knowing that He is finally home brings joy. The many songs he sang, watching him make his way to the worship service when he wasn’t feeling that well has been an inspiration. We thank God for you Ms. Doris how you pray for others as you had your things going on. God Bless you . We love you all

Cousin Wilbur, You will be greatly missed and I am glad you are at peace. There are many memories that come to mind whenever you come to mind or “that song” is playing (too many to name), but I mostly appreciate you watching me grow up and asking for a ride on the back of my chair. Thank you for being you. Rest well!

What can I say about a man that I loved so very much. This man right here is and was my grandfather Deacon Mack Wilbur Thomas aka to the immediate family I nicknamed him Mr. Foxx!!!! He was fast like a fox and always on the go for his family and most importantly for the Lord. God allowed me to have 42 of the best years of my life. I am going to miss you so much Mr. Foxx. Rainbow Drive won’t be the same anymore but the memories I have with you I will carry them in my heart forever. Ezekiel called you Papa Foxx and I’m so thankful to God you had time with your great grandson. This has been the most difficult week of my life but knowing you’re not suffering is giving me peace. I will cry, I will have my moments but I won’t lose hope in God because you want us to keep going. To my Thomas Family you all already know how I feel about each of you especially to my grandmother Doris Thomas aka to the family Gams. There goes another nickname. Sleep well Mr. Foxx we will see you in the morning.
