Annie Mae Caldwell passed away on January 24, 2020 at Ashland Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Ashland, Virginia. Annie was born December 1, 1936 to the late Mr. James Staley and Betty Reaves in Horry County, South Carolina. She is preceded in death by her sons, Michael Anthony, Maxie Lee and, Jerome (Rose) Woodberry, beloved sister Lou Ester Fenwick and brother Teronie Reaves.

Annie Mae was a graduate of Mullins High School in Mullins. South Carolina, where she received formal education. Annie Mae married James Sampson Caldwell on February 21, 1967, in Mullins, South Carolina. Annie Mae was a devoted mother, sister, grandmother and friend.

Annie Mae leaves to cherish fond memories, her children; daughter Helena (Michael) Moody of Atlantic City, New Jersey, and Terry (LaToya) Caldwell of Stafford, Virginia . She also leaves three brothers, Carol Lee Staley, Joe Reaves and Eugene (Janice) Reaves of Mullins, South Carolina; four sisters, Elizabeth Austin, Vonel S. (George) Walker of Atlantic City, New Jersey, Helen M Reaves of Mullins, South Carolina,, Brenda McFadden Sicklerville, New Jersey. 11 Grand children, Sharonda Eagle of Florence, South Carolina, Shameka Evans, of Dillion, South Carolina, LeeAnn Pendergrass of Marion, South Carolina. Michelle Moody, Shanita Moody, Shakinah Moody, Sakinah Moody, JaCinta Moody of Atlantic City, New Jersey, K. Tamar Caldwell, Kirsten Caldwell of Stafford, Virginia and twenty-three great grands, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
