Hampton Cornelius Ford Sr, 71, peacefully transitioned to glory surrounded by love. On Thursday, April 29th, 2021. He was the son of the late Roy L. Ford Sr. and Dorothy M. Ford, born March 24, 1950. Hampton grew up in a house filled with love alongside his siblings. The oldest of which Doris Fell (Frank) who referred to him as her “black baby”. Also remaining are Roy Ford Jr. (Regina), James Ford, Patricia Dabney (David), Ernest Ford (Vanessa), Carolyn Ford, and stepsister Teressa Ancarrow (William). He was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Ford. Hampton also had many nieces and nephews. Which he loved dearly. His memories will forever be cherished by his devoted wife Susan M. Ford, with whom he shared a union of 40+ years. Within those beautiful years, they had 3 children: Robert L. Ford Sr. (Allyson), Carolyn M. Gonzalez, and Karen Gibson (Odell). Before that time Hampton also had Hampton C. Ford Jr., Todd Anderson, Lauretta Smith (Randy), Amy Anderson, Kevin Anderson (Jill), and Chris Anderson. He was blessed with a gang of grandchildren and great-grandchildren which he loved and cherished dearly. Hampton was a man of many trades, to name a few he was a skilled mechanic, welder, and heavy equipment operator. Along with these Hank was a devoted servant of God. He gave his life to Christ at an early age at St. James Church, where he enjoyed listening to the Sunday sermons. Hampton was admired by many. He was well known for his beautiful smile and charming personality. Hampton C. Ford was a devoted and loving son, husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He truly will forever be loved and missed. |
