He departed this life on Monday, April 15, 2024, at his residence and he is now resting in the arms of our Heavenly Father. Marvin accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior at an early age, was baptized and joined Jericho Baptist Church in Ruther Glen, Virginia. He attended Sunday School as a requirement of his parents. He sang with the Senior Choir under the direction of the late Mrs. Marge Cheeks-Dickerson where he learned to sing tenor. He graduated from Union High School in 1968. He was married to the late Judith Logan Smith on September 28, 1995, for 28 years. He worked for Western Electric, Bell Atlantic and Verizon where he was a Warehouse Attendant until he retired in 2007. He enjoyed fishing, especially dipping herrings and going Deep Sea fishing with family and friends. He loved watching the Westerns all day long in his favorite recliner.
