Stephanie Faye Reed, lovingly known as “Faye” departed this life on May 18, 2023 and transitioned from labor to rest. Stephanie was born on January 22nd,1963 in Richmond, VA. to James Alfred Reed Jr. and the late Esther Baylor Reed. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister; Phillip R. Rollins formerly of Tacoma Park, MD and Mable L. Lomax formerly of Hustle, VA. Stephanie received her education from Caroline County public schools and graduated with honors as salutatorian From her high school class, She then went on to attend college at Hampton University Pledging Delta and graduating top of her class. Stephanie then moved to Washington, DC where she was employed at Trios restaurant as a server for over 20 years. Stephanie loved not only the atmosphere at the restaurant, but her co-workers and customers as well. They were like family to her and she kept in touch with them even after she had retired. She leaves to cherish her memory, her longtime companion of 36 years Sterling V. Baylor Sr of Washington D.C., and his three children that she loved and cared for as her own; Shamara Baylor of Washington D.C, Sterling V. Baylor Jr of Tacoma, WA and Angie Smith of King George, Va. Three brothers, William E. Rollins (Fraulein) of Milford, Virginia, Delano A. Rollins Sr. (Bernadette) of Spotsylvania,VA and James M. Rollins (Janice) of Fairfax, VA.and one sister Roberta D. Rollins of King George,VA. She also leaves her “beloved” grandchildren; Daveone , Cartier, Aaliyah, Darren Jr., Marquise, Michael, Hope, Faith and Jordan. One God son Dameon Agee and two God daughters Letitia Baylor and Cherish Smith; Special friends Lettie Yancey, Darrell Burrell, and a host of nieces, nephews. Stephanie was one of a kind and would help anyone that needed it. There is nothing in the world that she would not do for others. Even though she never had any biological children of her own, that never stopped her from loving any child equally that came into her life. Some of Stephanie’s favorite sayings were: “If you don’t want it broke move it because a kid is going to be a kid and Who cares about valuables because you can’t take them with you.” “ God’s love is all you need when you leave this earth.” Her mother always told her “ If you do right by people, God will continue to add stars to your crown and you will forever be blessed even when you leave this earth” Stephanie was loved by many and will forever be cherished and missed. We loved her but God loved her best. |
