Her Legacy
On March 25, 2022 Deaconess, Elsie I. Robinson, our beloved momma and big momma received her golden crown.
Deaconess Elsie I Robinson was preceded in death by her late husband Deacon Thomas Robinson, 1 Son Richard Henderson, 2 daughters Helen Cousins & Annie Tyler. 5 grandchildren Maxine, Keith, and Julie Cousins and Gary and Jerry Tyler.
Deaconess Elsie Irene Robinson affectionately known as “Big Momma” was born on June 5, 1926 in Rockville Va.
She was baptized at St. Mark Baptist Church at an early age, she later joined Abner Baptist Church.
She worked as a Private Duty Nurse until she retired.
Deaconess Elsie I Robinson was an amazing woman of God, serving as a Deaconess and on Pastor Aide Ministry until her health begin to fail.

Big Mom loved her family and everyone she came in contact with. Her lavish style represented fashion, grace, strength and
Guidance.. She also demonstrated how important family is and for them to be there for each other…She always met you with a smile.
She was Matriarch of the family.
Big Mom was known for her Pound Cakes, Fruit Cakes, Apple Pies, Potato Salad and Pasta Salad…Big Momma loved going to the cannery with fresh vegetables from her garden.
Her legacy will live through her daughter Mable Tyler, 3 bonus children Lawerence Harris, Arnette Griffin and Valerie Johnson.
11 Grandchildren Gilbert, Larry, John, Sherwood, Michael O’Ryan, Shelia (Stuart), Teresa (Jerry), Wendy (Curtis) Sharon (Maurice) Shawn and Michelle (Tony), 29 Great Grandchildren and 27 Great Great Grandchildren 3 Sister In Laws Ruth & Reva Robinson 2 Brother In Laws Joseph (Viola) Douglas Shelton, Host Of Nieces, Nephews, Family, and Friends a very special friend to her Inez Tillman.
