Eliner Jones

Eliner Lucendia Jones 79 entered eternal rest on Wednesday, March 9, 2022. She was born to the late Cornelius and Rebecca Jones on May 17, 1942 in Hanover County, VA where she resided until 1998. She lived the remainder of her life at the Canterbury Rehabilitation & Healthcare Center in Henrico County, VA.

She accepted Christ at the age of eight years old and joined the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. She was a faithful member, and willingly served in whatever capacity she was asked to do until her health failed her.

Eliner attended Hanover County Public Schools. She graduated from John M. Gandy High School and went on to attend Virginia Union University.

She was a devoted sister and aunt to her nieces and nephews. She always loved to tell them what was best to do…according to her, and she always had to have the last word.
Eliner was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers Samuel, Ernest, and Ceria Jones. She leaves to cherish her memories her two sisters Eva Robertson and Dora Jones-Nelson, and brother Arthur Jones (Margaret), and sister-in-law Romaine Jones. A host of nieces and nephews; two devoted, Jonathan Robertson (Frances) and Jennifer Stith (Brian), and cousins.
