Cotman born in Richmond, Virginia on June 4, 1952 to the late Charlie Cotman and Allean Lewis. His Season to Learn… Forrest attended New Kent County Public Schools. His Season to Love… Forrest was a loving husband and father. He was blessed with beautiful gifts from God, his sons Forrest Cotman Jr., Jamiel Cotman, a daughter, Lena Cotman Baldwin (Lamont – deceased), and one granddaughter Tylia Cotman, whom he loved dearly. He married the love of his life, Brendalin Smith, on January 26, 1980. His Season to Live and Serve… His service to God began in his youth as he accepted Christ at an early age. He attended Mount Calvary International in Providence Forge, Virginia, along with his beloved sister, Allean “Nook” Jones (deceased). Forrest was kind, loving, and caring. Some of his favorite hobbies were listening to music, working on old cars, playing Bass Guitar, oil painting, and watching old time westerns. He worked in various production roles. Following his retirement from Nabisco after 20+ years of service, he worked in different capacities at Hanover Public Schools and Walmart before his second retirement in 2016. His Season of Homegoing… Forrest entered eternal rest with God on Thursday, August 26 at the age of 69. His life was full of love and compassion. Our Season to Mourn… He leaves to cherish his memory, a wife, Brendalin Cotman, sons, Forrest Cotman Jr., Jamiel Cotman, a daughter, Lena Cotman Baldwin, and one granddaughter, Tylia Cotman. A brother, Warren Cotman (Rosa), a sister, Charlene Myers (Ron), four sisters-in-law, Augusta Prince, Renee Coleman-Greene (Kevin), Sherry Jackson (Corey), Rosa Cotman (Warren) and five brothers-in-law, Horace Jones, Kevin Greene, Ricky Smith, Corey Jackson, Ron Myers and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. |
