Jeremiah Langley, 76, departed this life on Thursday, March 11, 2021 at his home in Midlothian, Virginia, comforted by his family. Jeremiah was born on February 27, 1945 in Pitt County, North Carolina. He was the son of the late David and Mary L. Langley. He was one of 5 children born into this union. Jeremiah was preceded in death by 3 siblings, Phyliss Rodgers, Annie Ruth Langley and Lazarus Langley. Jeremiah moved to Bridgeport, Connecticut in his early twenties where he met and married his beloved wife of 49 years, Florence. In 1972, he dedicated his life to Christ and remained a faithful servant until his death. Jeremiah was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church in Bridgeport, Connecticut where he served as a deacon until he was called to the ministry as an Evangelist. In 2002, he was ordained as Pastor of the Inspirational Church of Jesus Christ #4 under the leadership of Bishop Joseph Lawson. Jeremiah worked for more than 30 years in the trucking industry as an owner operator. In 2014, he began employment with Darlene Trucking Company, where he made many good friends, especially Willie Lawson who remained a dedicated and loyal friend until his passing. Jeremiah was devoted to his family. He leaves to cherish his memory: his devoted wife, Florence Langley, son, Rodney Crawley, daughters, Felenna Acosta and Gerry Kang (Paul), sister, Elizabeth Coley, loyal niece and nephew Brenda Moore (Greg) and Patrick Rodgers, his beloved sister-in-law, Debbie, five (5) grandchildren, and a host of other family members and friends. |
