Ellen Nelson

Mrs. Ellen Hazel Nelson of Richmond departed this life November 20, 2020. She is preceded in death by her husband, Shirley Nelson; her Mother and Father Helen and Emmett Clarke, her Step-mother who raised her Garnette Clarke; five sisters Helen Clarke (her twin sister), Geneneva Sampson, Myrtle Clarke, Thelma Clarke and Mary Clarke-Campbell; three Brothers Thomas, Chastine and Garland Clarke.

She is survived by her daughter Nicole Nelson, grand-daughter LaToya Nelson, two great grandchildren Kayla and Carter, four brothers Winfrey, James (Christine), Walter (Adeline) and Benjamin (Patricia); two sisters Devoted Georgia Nelson (Harold) and Joyce Yates. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and friends among them two devoted nieces Linda Burwick, Johnell Nelson and a devoted god son Kevin Mitchell.

Ellen joined Abner Baptist Church at an early age and has been a faithful member. During normal times her Sundays consisted of Church and dinner after. She loved shopping and the company of her family and friends.
