Jeffery Lorenzo Hamn, Sr. passed away Friday, April 11, 2020 at Novant Health Hospital in Haymarket, VA at the age of 59. He leaves to cherish is memory, two sons Jeffery Jr., Matthew Shaver, his daughter Ashley and one grandson Warren Exel Mosley 3rd, Alice Hamn mother, Herman L. Hamn, deceased, one brother Herman Hamn,3 sisters, Twanna Taylor, Katina Savage (Sylvester), Natalie Greenhow and a host of nieces and nephews. He was born in Fredericksburg, VA, and educated through Stafford County public schools. Jeffery worked for Department of Air Force which transferred over to Chugash Management. The company later transferred to Raytheon, Springfield, VA where he worked as a Supply Technician retiring in 2016. Jeffery enjoyed his Redskins football team, win or lose, his Redskins Jeep, running or needing work, hanging out with his family, happy or sad, and his old school music loud or low, yard work, tinkering with small jobs around his house and fixing things. When he purchased his father’s motorcycle, he loved riding until he could no longer ride. When Jeffery found something funny to laugh about his laugh could be heard everywhere. If he became excited about something, he’d make 6-10 phone calls in a day. At times he was worse than a kid with a new toy but that’s how excited he would get over simple things. He was a down to earth father, son and brother and it didn’t take much to make him feel good or happy. He’d also say this to his kids in different situations “be strong, you’re a Hamn.” |
