Cheryl Foster Houston

Cheryl Foster Houston transitioned from time to eternity on April 14, 2020.

She was born in Ashland, VA to the late Ern F Foster, Sr. and France M. Foster. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Raleigh Foster Sr., Ern F. Foster Jr., and her sister Brenda (Foster) Spindle.
She was a member of Union Baptist Church, in Ashland, VA, where she joined at an early age and served in the choir. She graduated from Patrick Henry High School, and attended J S Reynolds for some additional education. She also worked at MCV for several years.

She leaves to cherish her memory three children: Tamara Dabney, Qwincy Houston (Jessica), and Dheryld Houston; Six grandchildren, Aeylla Dabney, Jaida and Jaquan Peatross, Ariah, Ephraim, and future Hezekiah Houston; one great grandchild, Mahagoni Smith; two siblings, Leroy Foster Sr. (Joyce), and Frances R. Foster, and brother in law William T. Spindle, Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
She will be remembered for her love of music, and for being a strong believer in Christ. She was known as an uplifter and edifier of people and for being one of the sweetest and loving person that you’ve ever met. She was a fighter, winner, and giver, even through the moment of her victorious transition into eternity. She was truly one of a kind and this world will be forever better off because she lived.
