Mable Rebecca Williams Ransome was the fourth of twelve children born to the late Willie Jeremiah Williams, Sr. and Clara Ross Williams. She was educated in Hanover County Public Schools. At an early age she was baptized and joined Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, Mechanicsville, VA. She was joined in holy matrimony to the late Deacon Clarence Edward Ransome and to this union one daughter was born, Doris Ann. She was predeceased by 4 sisters and 6 brothers.

Mable retired from Reynolds Metals Company and was a long time employee of Fearnow's Cannery. She was also a licensed CNA.

She was a long time member of the Carey Wheaton Chapter #204 OES, PHA of Virginia. Upon marriage she joined First Shiloh Baptist Church. She loved her role as deaconess until her health began to fail.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving and devoted daughter, Doris Ann Ransome; grandchildren: Crystal Wood (Willie), Michelle Kelly, Leatrice Jenkins (Dennis) and Robert (Bobby) Pleasant (Melodie): great grandchildren; LaToya Washington (Trent), Brandon Pleasant, Jaquan Johnson, Sr. and Jazmin Wood; great great-grandchildren: Victorya Washington, Aniyah Pleasant, Jaquan Johnson, Jr. and Landon Pleasant; one sister, Mary Louise Brown; god-daughter, Linda Wright-Johnson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins/friends; sons-in law: Robert Pleasant, Sr. and Alvin Claiborne.

Mable loved family and friends and enjoyed talking on the phone and receiving visitors. She will be missed by all who loved her.
