Whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16
We joyously remember and celebrate the life of Desmon Rishad Wingfield who suddenly departed this life on Tuesday, August 7, 2018.
Dez, as he was affectionately known, was born on November 29, 1990 to LaVonda Wingfield and Richard Allen. He was preceded in death by his mother, LaVonda Wingfield and his maternal grandparents, Ralph and Virginia Wingfield.
Desmon accepted Christ as his personal Savior and joined the North Gayton Baptist Church, Richmond, Virginia under the leadership of Reverend James Hedgepeth.
He received his education in the Caroline County School System, graduating from Caroline High School in 2009. Dez participated on the football team and ROTC. He also participated in a Karate Club.
Dez was presently employed at Value City Distributors in Carmel Church.
Desmon was a very low keyed type of guy. He loved to entertain family at gatherings. He was a Miami Dolphins fan, a video fanatic, and a sneakers freak. He loved sport cars, and motorcycles. He name his bike “Blue Magic”. And last but not least, he had a special relationship with the ladies. He will always be; remembered for his undying love for his Mom, Nana, and Papa. He will be greatly missed by all. Now the Wingfield Family Circle has been united.
He leaves to cherish his memory, his father; Richard Allen, Grandparents; Robert and Mary Allen, two Aunts; Robin and Rosemary Allen, one Uncle; Robert Allen (Dulaney), a number of great aunts; one devoted; Arethia Jackson, a number of great-great aunts; one devoted; Patricia Carey, a number of great and great-great uncles and a host of cousins; two devoted, Devin Allen and Casey Patterson; other relatives and friends.

My deepest sympathies on the passing of Desmond. The funeral service was such a beautiful tribute to Desmond. I had the joy of meeting LaWanda & Desmond at Caroline Middle School. LaWanda was teaching at CMS & Desmond would come to her classroom after school. I got to know them and was so impressed by the love they had for each other. I was so impressed when LaWanda's parents passed and how courageous they both were. Their faith carried them through.
I lived on Dry Bridge for many years and had the joy of seeing Desmond last year. What a fine young man he had become. I share in your sorrow. I know LaWanda greeted Desmond in heaven. She was probably waiting at the gate until he came. Peace to your family. Sincerely, Mrs. Betsy Tingler Retired CMS Science 8 teacher

To the Family & Friends of Desmon Wingfield:
“If a man die, shall he live again?” asked the man Job long ago.(Job 14:14,15) Perhaps you, too, have wondered about this. How would you feel if you knew that a reunion with your loved ones was possible right here on earth under the best of conditions?
Well, the Bible makes the promise: “Your dead ones will live. . . . They will rise up.” And the Bible also says: “The righteous themselves will possess the earth, and they will reside forever upon it.”—Isaiah 26:19; Psalm 37:29.

It seems like just yesterday we were sitting in the training class ready to start work at Value City together. Over the past almost year it was a lot of fun working together and getting to know each other. You were without a doubt my favorite person I worked with. You always had me and the boys laughing throughtout the night. I wish we had gotten to spend more time together here on Earth but I know one day you, me and Deion will all be laughing together again. Until that time comes, rest in peace big bro. We love you so much!!!
