Warren (Blue) Linwood Anderson was born April 10, 1938 in Louisa, Virginia to the parents of the late Howard and Jessie Anderson. He departed this life on Sunday, afternoon December 12, 2021, at Manor Care Imperial Nursing Home in Richmond, Virginia.

Warren joined Ebenezer Baptist Church at an early age. He was a member of the Usher Ministry for many years.

He attended Louisa County Public Schools and worked several jobs during his life time. As a young man he was a logger for Sharpe’s Logging before moving to Washington, D.C. While living in Washington he worked for the Washington Beef Company for many years before moving back home to take care his mother. Upon returning back to Virginia he worked at Tyson in Hanover County, for Louisa County Public School in the transportation department; and retired from Hanover Public School as a custodian. He always kept everyone inform far and near. He loved his wife dearly and his family.

Beside his parents, Blue was preceded in death by his six brothers: Richard, Howard, Raymond, Walter, Kenneth and James Anderson; one sister, Angie Mallory (Melton-deceased); one nephew, Richard Anderson.

He leaves to cherish his memories his devoted loving wife, Mildred A. Coles of twenty-nine years; two-step sons: Dennis Coles (Yvette) and Darren Coles (Zeta) of Richmond; six sisters-in-law: Clarissa Anderson of Richmond, Shirley Anderson of Washington, D.C. , Corine Anderson of Mineral, and Sarah Anderson of Richmond, Shirley Johnson (Leslie-deceased) of Mineral, Joyce Holt of Montpelier; three foster sisters in-law: Florence Trice of Montpelier, Mary Hollman (Larry) of Ashland and Venus Wingfield of Louisa, Virginia; two grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and one great grandchild. A host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
