Virginia A. Mason of Richmond, Virginia was born April 24, 1931. She was preceded in death by her husband James H. Mason, mother, Fannie J. Brown, father, Coybern T. Jones, step-father Robert C. Brown, son James M. Mason, grandson, Brian Mason II, granddaughter, Yar Odom, Sisters, Dorothy Jenkins, Sallie Boone, Anna Burton, Joyce Gregg, Barbara Joyner and brother Charles Brown and son-in law Eugene Barrett, Sr.

Virginia joined Mt. Tabor Baptist Church, Newsom, Virginia at an early age and later joined Abner Baptist Church in Glen Allen, Va. Her career began as a cook at Virginia Union University, Kentucky Fried Chicken and worked in the Hotel/Restaurant Industry for over thirty years at Holiday Inn, 3200 W. Broad St, Richmond, VA.
She took great pride in everything she did including cooking, fixing hair, decorating and working in the flower garden. She cared about and extended her hand to all those in need and would open her door to a stranger. Christmas was her favorite time of the year and she loved decorating her home inside and out.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother and was always on bending knees praying for her family.
