Tyriq Alyn Coleman was born on October 7, 2001, in the Bronx, New York to Tyniekqua Maria Wright. He attended public schools in Fredericksburg, VA, and graduated with an Advanced Studies Diploma from Chancellor High School in May 2020. Tyriq received an Athletic Award for being the JV Girl’s Basketball Manager.
Tyriq graduated Magna Cum Laude from Germanna Community College in May of 2023 with an Associate of Arts and Sciences Degree with a major in General Studies. He was an avid reader and loved history and writing. Most recently, he was in the process of writing a fantasy/action novel. One of his favorite hobbies was playing video games with his brothers. He was the peacemaker among friends and family. Tyriq worked for McDonald’s as a Line Manager and was preparing to begin Mary Washington University to study Accounting. Tyriq was loved and touched the lives of all who knew him.
