Thomas Venable Jr. was born to the late Eloise Pollard Venable and Thomas Venable Sr. on November 15, 1961. He is the youngest of one sibling Gilda “Muffey” Venable- McFarland.

He was baptized at age 7 at Rizing Zoom Baptist Church and was raised in Fairfax, Virginia. Thomas attended Falls Church High School where he became a stellar athlete. He mastered football, basketball and became a wrestling state champion. Thomas would continue his love for football after his teenage years. He played semi pro football for the Long Island Raiders.

On September 11, 1983, he was united in holy matrimony to the late Myra Milligan Venable. Although she proceeded him in death, they shared 32 years of a beautiful marriage. To this union, three children were born: Thomas Venable III (40), Laurissa J. Venable (35), and Brittany J. Venable (34). Myra and Thomas were side by side and hip to hip sharing so many memories. Even though Thomas always reneged and underbid she never gave up on him as her spades partner.

Thomas spent 18 years as a licensed CDL driver, traveling near and far. He went as north as Canada and as west as California. He also enjoyed his home improvement business that brought him great pleasure. His ability to bring any project to life touched many. Thomas played for the Gospel Melodies as the lead guitarist and also enjoyed playing drums for various churches throughout the years. His most valuable position was his 1989 Mazda truck and somehow got any and everyone to work on it. Throughout his life he enjoyed serving God, family time, car shows, cooking out, fishing, seeing his grandkids and most importantly leaving a lasting impression on those he encountered.

On Sunday, May 5th, 2024, he transitioned with his loved ones ushering him into the arms of the Lord. His laugh, warm embrace and charming ways will forever be missed. Thomas Venable Jr was preceded in death by his parents Eloise Pollard Venable and Thomas Venable Sr. as well as his wife, Myra Milligan Venable. He leaves to cherish his memory his beloved son, Thomas Venable III, his beautiful daughters, Laurissa Venable and Brittany Venable; ten grandchildren, Tyrone McDowney, Thomas Venable IV, Brittlynn Venable, Jalen Venable, Mya Venable, Janee’ Venable, Jalise Venable, Mila Venable, Myra Venable and Jalaeha Venable; one great grandchild Azair McDowney. Three aunts, Gilda Venable Mullins (Lee), Connie Pollard Samuels (Luther), and Gladys Venable (John). Three nieces, Ashley Whittington, Lyeisha Milligan, and Sharea Venable-McFarland, one nephew, Victor Hamlin (Carlene) and one great niece, Victoria Hamlin. Seven great nephews, Kemije, W’Javius, King, Martel, Ki’Mere, Donnell and Langston. Goddaughters, Krizia and Ameerah and godson, Akia. As well as his best friend Timothy Baize and additional family and loving friends.
