Tara Denise Theresa Miah-Beanum, 77, departed this life on Monday, January 10, 2022. Tara was born on November 18, 1944 to the late Elemen Miah and Veronica Beville Ali in New York City and she was the oldest child.

Tara attended and graduated from the East Stroudsburg Junior and Senior High School in Pennsylvania. Tara worked as a Medical Processing Secretary at Mary Washington Hospital for 17 years before her health failed. Tara married Randolph Beanum in the 1970s. She loved attending church, listening to James Brown, shopping, working on computer projects and spending time with family.

Tara is survived by her daughter Rhonda (Al) Edwards, Pennsylvania; three sons Lance Beanum and Miles Gilbert of Fredericksburg and Willie White, New York; 17 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sister Brenda Carr and brother Timmy Beville; In-laws Lynn (Ruby) Beanum, Robert Beanum, Richard Beanum, Helen Bailey and Madeline Clayton Beanum of Fredericksburg; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband Randolph Beanum, her parents Elemen Miah and Veronica Beville Ali; daughter Lynetta Lorraine “Little Mama” Beanum; and sisters Sahn Miah and Tsa Ali.
