On May 17th, 2022 Tammy Yvette Anderson-Harris peacefully transitioned to be with the Lord at the age of 58, at MCV Hospital with her family by her side. Tammy was born June 20th, 1963 in Caroline County, to the late Moses June Ross Jr. and Gloria (Tippy) Anderson.

Tammy grew up knowing the Lord joined the Mt. Tabor Baptist Church at an early age where she was raised in the church by her late great grandparents Deacon and Deaconess Wesley and Sedessa Tolliver. Where she ushered alongside her cousins. Later she rededicated her life and became a member of Oxford Mt. Zion Baptist Church.
She was educated in the Caroline County Public School System. She attended job corps, where she picked up several services including where she advanced her cooking skills, cosmetology, barbering, and security. Tammy had several jobs working in the kitchen, and was a mean cook and worked as a CNA. She loved her jobs and her co-workers. She had a heart of gold and would give you anything.

Tammy was a free-spirited soul that loved to sing, laugh, and dance. She loved being the life of the party almost as much as she loved throwing them where you could be sure to hear some of her favorite R&B and Gogo music. She enjoyed driving around blasting her music until the speakers knocked and announced her presence. Tammy was a mother, sister, aunt, and friend to all she came in contact with and she loved cooking and feeding her babies. To know her was to love her, however, she had very little patience for dealing with someone’s mess and wasn’t afraid to tell you how it is. She would tell you, “I may not get you today, tomorrow, or the next but I’m gone get you one day” and was known for telling you that “One monkey don’t stop her show”. Tammy was always Tammy no matter where she was, or who she was around, and you could be sure to get what you saw.

Tammy is preceded in death by her loving parents, grandparents, and the love of her life and father of her children Bryon Colby Harris of 20 plus years.

She leaves to cherish her memories with her three daughters; Colby Harris, Jasmaine Harris, and Bianca Mbah Wetcha (William). Five grandchildren; Jada, Jayven, Zhion, Paris, and Ja’Mir. Three sisters; Michelle Tolen of Ala, April and Tamika Perry of Ala. Two brothers; Dana Anderson and Pierre Burruss Sr. (Kina) of Tenn. Aunts; Virginia Ross Jones (Howard), Marian Tunstall, and Rose Lassiter (Elbert). Uncle Samuel Anderson. Great Aunts; Bernice Hightower, Pearl Smith, Gloria Tolliver. Special and devoted friend Corwin (Sojoe) Goodall. Devoted friend Wayne Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives.
