Tameca Samantha Mines departed this life on May 23, 2022 in Richmond, Virginia.

Tameca was born December 10, 1980, to Marzetta Mines and George Houchens. She graduated from Patrick Henry School, Ashland VA. After Patrick Henry She attended Centra Training Institute where she received a certification for Medical Assistant. Tameca was previously employed by Blessed Hand and Heart before venturing out and doing private duty nursing.

Tameca loved her family; she would never tell you Good-bye, whether it was hanging up the phone or leaving out the door. She would always say “Alright Cuz! Gone!” Tameca was a free spirit; she was going to do just what she wanted to do. Your opinion mattered but it didn’t.

Tameca leaves to cherish her memories her three children. Jaylen Hubbard, DeAsia Mines, Tyrese Mines. Mother Marzetta Mines, Father George Houchens. Two brothers David Houchens (Paulette), Adrian Johnson, two sisters Latesha Johnson, Lachelle Gaffrey. Grandmother, Alberta Houchens. Godparents Stephanie and Charles Gaines. Two God-sisters Renesha Gaines-Entzminger and Sabrina Gaines. Seven aunts devoted Jacqueline Shelton, Deborah Mines, Cathy Mines and Bridgett Robertson. Nine uncles, one devoted Rev. Kelvin Mines Sr. A devoted great uncle Eddie Mines. A host of relatives and friends. Devoted Chanel Mines, Kelvin Mines Jr. Erin Cash, Carla Scott, Tanya Houchens, Antionette Green, Erica Ellis, Lajoi Mines, Andrea Whitehead, and Andrea Mines.
