To Gale, Candice and all of Simon’s family and friends, We are deeply saddened by Simon’s passing but are comforted in his blessed reunion with our eternal God. We will always remember Simon as a prince of a man, a kind, generous and funny soul, and a genius gardener and horticulturist. We are privileged to have known him. Thank you for sharing this lovely tribute. We are wishing you all the Lord’s comfort and peace.

We were saddened to hear about Simon’s passing. He was a good friend from 1st grade at Bethany Elementary School forward. We often met and compared news about our families and updates about old classmates. He spoke proudly of his wife, Gail, and his daughter, Candice. We will miss you, our friend. – Pat Price White, Larry, Thomas and Tazewell Price.

My heartfelt condolences to my family during our time of loss. I have fond memories of growing up with Simon at the homeplace, church and school. Simon was stationed at NOB Norfolk when I attended NSU and many times, he was my ride home to Montpelier and back to campus. He always had jokes about the possible contents of my luggage, because it was so heavy. “May the healing gifts of time and the timeless love of God keep us in this hour.”

To Simon’s family, he surely will be missed. We started 1st grade together at Bethany and he was always one of the coolest most laid back people I’ve known. Gale, Candace, Lucy, Rachel and family, I truly valued Simon as a friend. Sometimes there are people that you don’t have to see daily or even yearly to count as a friend. Simon was that kind of friend. Whenever we’d see each other, it was always “Howdy, Howdy” and we’d have a great conversation. Earth has lost a great guy but Heaven is all the better now. RIP “Seymour”!

Simon, I miss you so much. The jokes, laughter and our teasing each other. I wish you were still here but God had other plans for you. Take your wings and fly Uncle. You’ll never be forgotten.
