Ruth Alberta Pleasants was born January 26, 1963, in Richmond, Virginia. Ruth departed her life on July 29, 2022. She was born to the (late) Elon M. Pleasants and Frances Pleasants of Ruther Glen, VA.

She attended Caroline County Public Schools.

At an early age she joined the Second Baptist Church and was a faithful member until her illness.

Ruth worked at Bon Secours Hospital for many years. She also worked as a Supervisor at Flying J Truck Stop until they closed.

She leaves to cherish her memory, Frances A. Pleasants (mother); two sons, Rolando P. Pleasants (Sade), and Rick S. Pleasants. Three grandchildren Jaleiyah, Carree, and Carmella Pleasants. One brother and sister-in-law, Elon T. Pleasants (Joann); three sisters and one brother-in-law, Gloria M. Roberts-Porter, Ethel Hayes (Robert), and Shirley Pleasants; one Aunt and Uncle, Deloise Sims-Mallory (William); and three nieces, Morgan Hayes, Gabrielle Hayes, and Diamond Pleasants; two nephews, Edward (Eddie) Roberts, and Sam Roberts.
Ruth was a pleasant and loving lady who was fond of her close friends, Brenda Armstead, Roslyn Carter, and her walking buddies, Christine Burruss and Shirley Ware. A devoted friend UlRick Whittaker.
