Ronnie Joel Holland, (aka Big Dawg) was the oldest of 3 children born at MCV hospital in Richmond, Va to Joel Rollins and Hossiane Anita Rollins on December 10, 1984. He lost his life unexpectedly in Henrico, Va while traveling home early Sunday morning March 14, 2021. He was baptized at the early age of 10 years old at Mount Olivet Baptist Church in Montpelier, Virginia.
He attended Louisa County Schools up until he was transferred to Caroline County High School in his sophomore year. He later Graduated from Louisa County High School June of 2003. He attended Beta Tech Trade School in 2005 where he received his certification for Computer Technology. He was later employed with Olive Garden in Richmond, VA as Lead Chef. Later in his early 20s he relocated to Glen Burnie Maryland and proceeded with a jump start of his career as an Assistant Manager at the Children’s Place. Within one year later he was offered a promotion as General Manager at Children’s Place located at Atlantic City Tanger outlets mall which he then relocated to New Jersey. He decided to return home in Virginia where he received his real estate license and started his business in 2018 Building Within LLC. While starting his business he then began his career with Amazon; where he started entry level as a delivery driver; within 3 months he was promoted as a supervisor; He had done so well he was transferred from Carolina ave office to the Springfield office which he held his supervisor position.
On June 12, 2013 Ronnie married his wife Chavon (Copeland)Holland of Caroline County Va. Together they had 2 sons Messiah Cash Joel Holland and Major Josiah Holland 1 daughter Malaysia Khaleesi Holland.
Ronnie was the most loving husband, father, brother, son, nephew and friend. His smile, laugh and personality made him unforgettable. He left a lasting impression on all. He enjoyed living life to the fullest. He always went above and beyond with everything he did. His wife and kids was everything to him.
Ronnie was proceeded in death by his loving (Big Nanny) Lucy Shelton. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Chavon Holland his 3 children Messiah, Major and Malaysia. His father Joel Rollins of Caroline County and Mother Anita Rollins of Bumpass. His 2 sisters Juanita Holland of Richmond and Shelia Joann Holland of Richmond. His Grandfather Ronnie Holland (Phyllis) of Louisa, Grandmother Reatha Jackson of Bumpass and her devoted friend Thomas. His grandmother Eva Rollins of Montpelier, 3 Aunts Sheila Shelton (Marvin) of Louisa, Geneva Shelton (Howard) of Montpelier, Brenda Harris of Montpelier. 1 nephew, 3 nieces, 8 devoted cousins, Mother in law Cleastine Copeland, Father in law Thomas Walker Jr, 2 brother in laws Thomas Walker Jr and Carlos Clory….3 Devoted friends Marcus Wright, Marcus Johnson, and Zachary Waller and numerous other relatives and friends.
