A CHANGE of ADDRESS
On Wednesday, October 13, 2021 Rev. Sally Hudson-Waller changed her address from 16514 Braswell Street Bowling Green, VA to 7 Gateway to Heaven, New Jerusalem, Heaven 77777.
A Time to Be Born:
Sally was born December 28, 1939. Mother: Rosetta Samuel Green, Father: Elijah Lee. Raised and loved by Jessie Green and her mother.
At an early age she accepted Christ and was baptized at St. James Baptist Church, Milford VA. She later changed her membership to First Mt Zion Baptist Church in Sparta, VA. Years later led by the Holy Spirt she moved her membership to Mt Tabor Baptist Church, Shumansville, VA under the leadership of the late Rev. Doctor Elmo Jones where she remained a faithful member until her health began to fail. There she attended Sunday School, Bible Study and took part in many activities and programs. She also sang on the choir, served on the culinary ministry and taught youth Sunday School. Together with the late Rev. Daisy Braxton they formed the Willing Worker Ministry serving the community. She was a member and the secretary of the Outreach Ministry established by Rev. Alice Wood. After hearing the voice of God, she accepted her calling into the ministry. On March 19, 2000 she delivered her initial sermon and was licensed into the ministry. She worked diligently for the Lord until Dementia and Alzheimer’s invaded her mind.
A Time to Learn & Work:
Sally attended Caroline County Public School System.
She was a hardworking woman. Sometimes working two or three jobs at a time in order to provide for her family. She began working as a domestic housekeeper and seamstress. She was also employed with the Caroline Co. Public School system as a custodian and school bus driver for many years. Later she was employed at Fort A. P. Hill where she retired 2005.
A Time to Love:
Wow!! A time to love was every day for her. She had a heart to love everyone and she displayed it by her actions and words. Sally would tell everyone that she met “I Love You” with meaning and a smile. She also expressed her love though her sewing and she loved to cook hot meals for others. She always said that the most important ingredient was the LOVE that she put into everything that she prepared. Even in her first stages of Dementia & Alzheimer she would tell people “Come see me sometimes and I’m going to cook you some fried chicken, corn pudding and hot homemade yeast rolls, which she wasn’t even capable of doing any more.
She met her first love Charlie Harvey Hudson Sr. and they were married in 1954. To that union seven children were born. Sally loved everyone met with the love of Jesus.
