Reverend Edward P Woolfolk transitioned from his earthly to his heavenly home on December 04, 2020, after a period of illness. He managed his illness with strength and grace. On his final day, he was surrounded by his family, who he adored more than anything else in the world. Ed as he was affectionately known was born on April 29, 1950 to the late Cary and Gladys Woolfolk.
To all those who entered into Ed’s home, or conversed with him it became quite evident that he loved and believed in the Word of God. He was ordained as a Deacon of Second Baptist Church in 1985, and ordained as a minister in 1992.

He will be remembered by family and friends for his kind deeds and kind words. He was one known to offer a helping hand to anyone who needed it, often driving distances to help friends or family. He used his artistic and creative skills in business as a self-employed painter.

Ed leaves a legacy of love for his family and friends. Those left to reminisce and cherish fond memories are his wife, Annie; six children, Edward Jr, Michelle, Shawn, Corey, Chermaine and Angela Morris; ten grandchildren, one great grandson. Also holding fond memories include one devoted sister, Gladys A. Wilkerson (Henry); three sisters-in law Sandra Woolfolk, Constance Holden and Lorretta Lewis. along with a host of other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son Necolble Woolfolk, four brothers, Carey Ellis, Rev. Dr. Oliver Woolfolk, Ernest Woolfolk and Ronald Woolfolk, one sister, Rev. Eunice Miller.
