Reginald Leon Thompson, 73 of Chesterfield County, Virginia, formerly of Partlow, VA, was born on May 11, 1947. Affectionately known as “Reggie” he left his earthly body bound for glory on September 20, 2020.

Reggie joined First New Hope Baptist Church, Partlow, VA at an early age and enjoyed going to church whenever he could. He was a kind and loving person and although he was confined to a wheelchair, that did not stop him from living life to the fullest.

His favorite football team was the Dallas Cowboys and he enjoyed watching the games as a pastime. He kept up with all the family current events and even while in the nursing home in Louisa County, he could still tell you things about family and community happenings. He spent many years in the nursing home after the passing of his loving mother and sister Shelia before making his home with the Morgans in Chesterfield. While with the Morgans, he got to experience many things that he would not have been able to do like going to Disney World.

Reggie was preceded in death by his mother, Annie L. Thompson, his father, Arthur Thompson, Sr, his maternal grandparents, paternal grandparents, his siblings, Lucille Wigglesworth, Mary Wigglesworth Lewis, Leroy Thompson, Robert K. Lewis, Shelia T. Quick and Shirley T. Jackson. He is survived by brothers, Arthur Thompson, Jr. of Providence, RI, Bernard Peter Thompson of Waldorf, MD, Vernon L. Thompson of Dale City, VA and Michael H. Thompson of Spotsylvania, VA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, one aunt Beatrice Lewis of Beaverdam, VA and caregivers Jay and Amy Morgan of Chesterfield, VA.
