Regina Davis peacefully passed away on May 27, 2024, in the presence of family. She was a cherished wife, devoted mother, and beloved friend. Born on October 25, 1958, she was the youngest of four children to Rowlin T. Robinson, Sr. and Katherine Robinson. Her love, kindness, and unwavering faith will leave a lasting impression in the hearts of all who knew her. Her passion for helping others was a signature trait that defined her both personally and professionally.
Regina, affectionally known as “Dean”, grew up in the Manakin-Sabot area of Goochland, VA. She was educated in Goochland County Public Schools and furthered her education at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College. Regina married Mark Davis in 1999. Mark affectionately referred to her as his “Pumpkin Head”. Together, they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and mutual respect. Regina was a devoted mother to her two children, Grayland (“Donnie”) and Brian, whom she adored and nurtured with all of her heart. Her family was her greatest joy and she dedicated herself to ensuring their happiness and well-being.
Regina’s compassion extended beyond her family to her career in Human Resources/Payroll. Her kindness, dedication, and skill left an indelible mark on her colleagues. She retired from Patient First in October 2023.

Regina was known for her gentle touch and reassuring presence, always going above and beyond to care for those in need. A woman of deep faith and community spirit, she was an active lifelong member of North Gayton Baptist Church where she accepted Christ at a young age. She was a dedicated member of the music ministry for many years, taking delight in singing with The Combined Voices, The Young Adult Choir, and the Praise Team. She was a founding member of the Christian Arts Ministry and enjoyed being a part of the adult praise dance team and being an advisor for the junior praise dance team.

Regina enjoyed spending time with family, scenic car rides, and road trips. Her favorite location to visit was the Outer Banks of North Carolina. She was always excited to plan and organize the annual family vacation to the Outer Banks. A highlight of the trip for her was singing classic “oldies” songs with the family. She enjoyed watching television, including favorites such as the Game Show Network, “The Andy Griffith Show”, “The Jeffersons”, and “The Young and the Restless”. She enjoyed playing board games, card games, and video games, including her favorite, “Ms. Pac-Man”. She was extremely competitive when playing “Super Mario Brothers” with her sons. Regina enjoyed many genres of music, but her favorite music artists were Frankie Beverly and Kem. She had a passion for entertaining in her home, especially during the Christmas season where her guests eagerly anticipated her signature dish of macaroni-and-cheese. She believed in giving back and made a difference in many lives through her selfless acts of kindness.

Regina was preceded in death by her parents, Rowlin T. Robinson, Sr. and Katherine Robinson; and her brother, Rowlin T. Robinson, Jr. She is survived by her adoring husband, Mark Davis; her cherished children, Grayland Hicks Jr. and Brian Hicks; step-children, Matthew and Marilyn Davis; sister, Virginia Norris; brother, Leonard Robinson; sister-in-law, Marian Robinson; father-in-law, James Davis (Bernice); brother-in-law, Guy Davis (Danielle); aunt, Jessie Robinson; devoted cousin, Wendy Cosby; god-daughter, Jada Fleming; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends, including devoted family friend and her “bonus son”, Tyrone Marsh.

She will be remembered for her warmth, generosity, resiliency, and the unwavering love she shared with all who knew her. Her light shined brightly in the lives of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be deeply missed, but forever remembered in our hearts.
