Octavia Miranda Whiting-Davis also affectionately known as “Tae-Tae” was born on November 4, 1985 at Mary Washington Hospital Fredericksburg, Virginia to Richard Fortune and Francine Whiting. Raised in King George County, Virginia Tae-Tae grew up in a close knit Christian household that worshiped at Salem Baptist Church where she joined at an young age. Keeping Christ in her life Tae- Tae later join Union Bethel Church where she was a proud and faithful member. She attended King George County Schools until high school but later received her diploma from Richmond City Public School.

Octavia had a passion for helping people so she received her C.N.A. Certification and had a career in private duty cases. The patients quickly grew fond of Tae-Tae because her passion showed through her work. Tae- Tae also had this radiant smile filled with two dimples that could light up a room. She was full of life and some would even say she was the life of the party. Tae-Tae also had a passion in fashion. She was a DIVA of fashion and color. She would be matching from head to toe literally. Her hair would match her makeup, her makeup matched her heels, and her heels matched her accessories. Even though Tae- Tae had these two passions, there was one thing that topped everything and anything and that was family. She loved being a mother and a soon to be glam-ma. And when she wasn’t being about her family you could find her playing Bingo and going on Facebook Live buying pull tabs.

On December 19, 2022 Tae-Tae peacefully gained her wings and went to be with God. She is preceded in death by her Grandmother Susie, her Aunt Lardine, her Uncle Thomas, and two very special cousins Sacha Allen and Latoya Smith.
