Maxie Dion Beard was born to the late Clifton Beard, Jr. and Mattie Louise (Blair) Beard on March 12, 1962 in Washington, DC. He was the only child born to this union. Maxie passed away on January 4, 2024 in Washington, DC.

Maxie was educated in the Washington DC public school system. Upon graduation from high school, he enrolled and successfully completed training as a truck driver from the Lincoln Tech Institute located in Washington DC. He continued employment as a truck driver until retirement.

Maxie met and married the love of his life, Karen and from this union three sons were born.

Maxie enjoyed driving as a hobby after retirement; his travels include family vacations or venturing to various places in the Washington Metropolitan area and beyond. Maxie loved spending time with his family and watching television and supporting the Washington area professional sports teams.

Maxie was preceded in death by his parents Clifton and Mattie Beard. He leaves to cherished his memory his beloved wife, Karen Beard; three sons, Branden Jamal, Christopher Allen, Nathan Deonte and a host of family and friends, who are too numerous to name, but who were special in so many ways.
