On April 10th, 2023 God called his loving daughter Mary Alberta Moore home. She was born on October 24th, 1938 to the late Herbert G. White and Mary Mixon.
At an early age, Mary joined Abner Baptist Church. Where she was very active until her health failed. She was past president of the usher board, a member of the Senior Choir, and a member of the IH Hines Choir. She was also a member of the Oasis Senior Ministry.
Mary attended Henrico County schools and Virginia Randolph. She loved to travel, spend time with her friends, and was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. But most of all she loved to be with her family. Her husband, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her only sister meant the world to her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was kind, generous, funny, and a great cook. She was well known for her sweet potato pies.
Mary was employed by Philip Morris International tobacco company where she began her career in 1975. After working at Philip Morris for 23 years and 11 months, she retired in 1999.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 67 years, Foster Moore Jr., and her six children Sandra (James), Valerie, Foster, III, John, Lisa, and David (Wallisa). 15 grandchildren, Carroll (Sabrina), Brian (Denise), Fontaine, Teshia, Tamela, TaNeil, Erric, Dejuan, Kaneisha, Evan, Patrick (Alacia), Jasmine, Dominique (Jessika), Tamia, and Shelby, 25 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren. One sister Jeanette Delores Green (Herman), Sisters in Law, Susan and Shirley, two Brothers-in-Law Thomas, and George (Rose), step-mother Phyllis White two step-brothers, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Benita, and devoted friends. Preceding her in death were her brothers Herbert and Garfield.
