Deaconess Louise B. Glenn, widow of the late Nathan Glenn Mechanicsville, Virginia slipped away peacefully in her home.

Louise was born July 22, 1926 and Caroline County, Virginia to the late Lawrence Hopkins and Rosa Quarles Hawkins. She was the youngest of four children and reared in a Christian home. Louise accepted Christ at an early age became a member of Second Baptist Church in later joined Oxford Zion Baptist Church in Caroline County.

She met and married Franklin Braxton and had two sons Leroy( deceased) and Richard Braxton .
Louise moved to Syracuse New York where she met and married the love of her life Nathan Glenn and later joined Bethany Baptist Church. Louise enjoy gardening, singing in the gospel choir, playing piano and hosting parties with friends and family.

Louise worked for many years at Cross Irving hospital as a caregiver where she retired. She was an outgoing happy person and was loved by everyone and was always dressed to impress.
Nathan and Louise returned to Virginia in 1991 and resided in Mechanicsville and joined First Shiloh Baptist church in 1994. She joined the senior choir and was a faithful member of the Deaconess ministry.

Louise Glenn was preceded in death by her husband Nathan Glenn, one brother, Raymond Quarles and two sisters Jenny Freeman, Virginia Elder, and Son Leroy Braxton ( Bessie).
She leaves to cherish her memory one dedicated son Richard Braxton Sr. (Hazel), six grandchildren Richard L Braxton Junior, Latonya Jackson, Cynthia Jenkins, Carol Banks, Leisa Liverpool, and Michelle Braxton. Eight great grandchildren Anastasia Gaines, Ausar Jackson
Latesha, Khidr and Ishmael Banks, Nia Liverpool, Nile Liverpool, Whitney Harris and Rashad Jenkins, one great grandson Teshawn Bank.

She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
