Linda Irene Ruffin entered enteral rest on Monday, March 2, 2020 at Henrico Doctors Hospital-Skipwith, in Richmond, VA. She was born on December 28, 1954 to David E. Dabney and the late Slyvester A. Dabney of Coatesville, VA. She was educated in the Hanover County Public School System and graduated from Patrick Henry High School. Linda accepted Christ at an early age at the St. James Baptist Church-Coatesville, VA. Linda is proceeded in death by her mother, Slyvester A. Dabney, and two brothers Warren and Hazel Dabney.

Linda absolutely loved people. A lifelong nurturer, Linda enjoyed cooking and taking care of others. She raised two children, Calvin Jr. and Veronica Ruffin and also other members of her family through the years. Linda was an active church member and served on the Hospitality Committee at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Prior to joining Ebenezer, she served as an usher and choir member at St. James Baptist Church, Coatesville, VA. She was a caregiver to her mother until her passing and for her father until her own health challenges began to affect her. A beacon of hope, love and kindness, Linda will forever let her ‘Life Do the Singing’ through those who she came in contact.

Linda leaves to cherish her memory a daughter, Veronica Ruffin, and a son, Calvin Ruffin, Jr. Their father Calvin Ruffin, Sr.; two sisters Marie Iverson and Regina Bray (Karl); five brothers David Dabney (Patricia), Clyde Dabney (Alice), James Dabney, Allen Dabney (Tara), and Craig Dabney; one aunt Rev. Iola Smith; one uncle, Deacon Spenser Curtis Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins; two sisters-in-law Gloria and Betty Dabney; and life-long friends Cheryl Anderson, Deborah Bassfield, and Janet Waller.
