Kathy Denise Stokes-Bey, transition peacefully from this life on November 16, 2020, After a gradual decline in her health. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family and caregiver during the last days of her life.

Kathy was born in Richmond, Virginia to Melvin and Catherine Davis(Deceased).She was the oldest of 5 children. She started her education in The public schools of Hanover Country, Virginia, where she was being raised by her grandmother, Ellen Harris(deceased). She later joined her parents in Baltimore Maryland, where she graduated From Eastern High, an all girls school.

As a young adult, Kathy was a member of the the original black panther movement. She kept that same rebels spirit throughout her entire life. Kathy was all a member of the Moorish Science Temple of America.

She had a deep passion for cooking, which was passed to her from her mother. Her love of cooking garnered her decision to be a chef.

She leaves loving memories to be cherished by her father Melvin Davis, Two children Paul “Carlos” Stokes and Samantha Stokes, Four grandchild Myles Stokes, Briel Blair, Isaiah Stokes, and Reshawn Powell, Three brothers Ricky Davis, Melvin Davis JR, and Maurice Davis, one sister Beverly Owens, a host of cousins two devoted Mary Fountain and Vincson (VJ) Watkins. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends two devoted Rita Macadoo-Bey and Vernetta Dupye.
