Most days you would find Josephine in the kitchen listening to the gospel station, after she had cleaned her house from top to bottom and those that knew her knew not to get in her way. She loved to cook and most of all she loved feeding everyone that came into her home, and if you did not eat there, you would have a to go plate waiting.
Josephine leaves to cherish her memories eight children; Bessie, Nelson (Linda), Calvin, Willie James and Joseph (Camie) all of Mineral VA, Rachael Anderson of Winston Salem NC, Michael (Barbara) of Ashland VA and Caesar Brooks of Louisa VA, stepchildren Ellen Hartridge and Tony Brooks of Bumpass VA and Louise Stanley of Louisa VA, 15 grandchildren,39 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, but she is called grandma by many more. A special friend/helper Brenda Taylor and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
