John Wilton Harris , was born in Hanover County, Virginia on July 7,1953 to the late Wilton and Mozelle Harris. He matriculated through the Hanover County public school system. Following school he worked various jobs. He was employed at The Ashland Convalescent Center until his health failed him.

John gave his life over to Christ, at an early age, at the Bethany Baptist Church in Montpelier Va. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He enjoyed watching Old Western Movies and football, He was an avid San Francisco 49ers fan, John loved playing and coaching softball, he was the coolest 3rd base coach that Montpelier have ever seen, He loved dressing up and being the best dressed man everywhere he went, other than being sharp John loved wearing gold jewelry (even if it wasn’t his) John loved life and lived it to the fullest, until his health started declining .

Proceeded in death by two brothers Melvin and Leonard Harris, two sisters Anette Morris and Elaine Wattie. He leaves to cherish his memories his two son’s Anthony Green and Jason Carter. Five bonus children John(Catrice) Danielle , Andrea(Cara) LaFaye and D’Vonta Derricott. One grandson Anthony M Green. Six sisters, Gladys Harris, Orelia Stokes, Margaret Winston, Florence Brown, Agnes James(Earl) Sharon Harris, one brother Alfred Harris. A host of nieces, nephews and friends. One special Arlene Derricott was his life time companion and care giver when his health declined.
