Jesse Washington Brooks Sr. gained his wings on Wednesday August 24th, 2022. He was preceded in death by his son, Clarence Brooks and his wife Thelma Brooks.

Mr. Brooks was a hard working man, working as a custodian in an all-girls school for many years, and then farm work. He was a man of strong faith and served as a Deacon in the church for many years. He could be found working around his house, growing a beautiful and bountiful garden, fishing, and telling the funniest stories. Mr. Brooks knew no stranger and was loved by anyone who met him.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his daughter, Dorothy Royston (Johnny), his son, Jesse Brooks Jr. (Joyce, deceased), grandchildren, Johnny Royston Jr., Dante Brooks Sr., Jesse Brooks III, and a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
