James Allen Cosby, Jr. (a.k.a. Jay) entered into eternal rest on April 20, 2021. He was the son of the late Deacon James Allen Cosby, Sr. and Isadore Jackson. Jay was a member of Mt. Olivet Baptist Church, Montpelier, VA and a graduate of Louisa County High School, Mineral, VA.

He is survived by his oldest son’s mother, Crystal; his mother and stepfather, Isadore and Deacon James “Nick” Jackson; four sons: DaVell Smith (Joy), Jaivon Cosby, Jaiquan Cosby, and Cameron Johnson; sister, Rena Nicole Anderson (William); a devoted brother, Reginal Cardell Cosby, Sr. (Eugenia); stepbrother, Rev. Marlon Jackson (Shameka); stepsister, Cher Lewis (Martin). Devoted caretakers, Sierria Cosby (niece) and Genia Cosby (sister-in-law), along with many other relatives and friends. All of whom will forever cherish the memories of Jay.
