On May 24th Jacqueline Joyce Whitfield (bka) Jackie, 79, of Bronx NY departed her life. Jackie was born on April 3rd 1944, to the late Virginia Francis Walters and Sterling Buntin, wife of the late Robert Wade Whitfield Jr. precedes her in death.
Jackie graduated in 1961 at Julia Richman HS New York, NY. She was affectionately known as a Domestic Engineer most of life from age sixteen. Jackie also worked at Sanitation Department (clerical Associate) Conway Department Store (sales associate), Police Athletic League (Pal). Her hobbies were sewing, reading, collecting dolls, coins, and baseball cards. Jackie loved shopping on the Shopping Network Channel. She was very stylist and took pride in how she looked. Jackie cooked every ethnic food and definitely was a pro at it. She enjoyed family, friends’ music, and dancing. Often entertaining in her home with husband and children. She had a one – of – a- kind love. Jackie was fun, loving, caring and a great listener. Someone, everyone wanted to be around. Jackie will be missed but fond memories will forever be in our hearts.
During the years prior to her death, Jackie resided at the Ashland Nursing Home where she accepted Jesus in her heart. She was preceded in death by Robert Wade Whitfield (husband) Lucilia Brown (sister) Robert Walters (uncle) Virginia Francis Walters (mother) Sterling Buntin (Father).
Jackie leaves to cherish her memories son, Robert Wade Whitfield 3rd, daughter, Wanda Ann Whitfield-Hill, son, Kenneth William Whitfield (Adrienne), son, Jeffery Malcolm Whitfield (Felica), son, Calvin Whitney Whitfield (Donnetta). Five Grandchildren Saraya Whitfield, Robert Hill, Angelica Whitfield, Isaiah Whitfield and Jaleel Whitfield. Four Great Grandchildren Parker Johnson Whitfield, Payton Johnson Whitfield, Michael Prince, Malachi Hill. Two sisters Deloris Walters and Francine Francis. A host of Nieces, Nephews and Cousins. Two dedicated friends the late Louise McCrae and May Edwards
