Irving Samuel Jackson departed this life on October 26, 2022 at age 74. He was born on April 1, 1948 to Benjamin H. Jackson Sr. and the late Laura D. Jackson.

Irving (Jackie Boy) accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior at an early age. He was baptized and joined Brown Grove Baptist Church in Ashland, VA. Irving’s faith never wavered, even when his health started to fail him.

He attended Hanover County Public Schools where he graduated from John M. Gandy High School. He worked at Speed & Briscoe, Reynolds Metals in Richmond, Amazon and The Vitamin Shoppe of Hanover County. He loved his Vitamin Shoppe family. Irving was an avid baseball player who loved the Atlanta Braves, loved fishing, running, bike riding and cutting grass for his neighbors. He loved a home cooked meal (especially anything with gravy), and enjoyed family vacations in the Outer Banks. He had an infectious personality and would talk you into a coma. He will truly be missed.

He leaves to cherish his memories, a devoted wife of forty-four years, Jacquelin Carter Jackson, two loving children, Antoine L. Jackson (Maria), Rachaé J. Heyer (Bret), a proud grandfather of four grandchildren, Jazmin, Jayce, Jada and Amaya, Father Reverend Benjamin H. Jackson, Sr., sisters Annie L. Jackson, Roshelle J. Fonville (Donald), brothers Benjamin H. Jackson, Jr. (Mary), Wayne O. Jackson, four brother-in-laws and three sister-in-laws. One aunt Bessie Wormley and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
