Harold Russell Nelson Sr. entered eternal rest on May 1, 2024 at the age of 72. He was born on June 18, 1951 to the late Helen E. Nelson and Lilton W. Davis, Sr. His courage, kind heart and good humor remain in the hearts of all who knew him.

Harold grew up in Short Pump, Virginia and attended Henrico County Public Schools, He graduated from J.R. Tucker High School. Harold accepted Christ at a young age and was a member of the North Gayton Baptist Church until his passing. Harold was a member of the Usher Board Men’s Ministry and Culinary Arts. Harold was a faithful employee of Phillip Morris USA for many years. He was masterfully skilled “Mr. fix-it” at work and at home. Harold was a devoted Husband, Father, Grand & Great Grand Father, Brother, Cousin, Uncle, Nephew and Friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Helen E. Nelson and Lilton W. Davis, Sr. and three brothers Laird Nelson , Hayles Robinson and Michael Davis. Many are left to cherish Harold’s memory, included his devoted and loving wife of 50 years, Georgia Nelson; three daughters Johnell Nelson, Aleasa Nelson-Jones (Tony) and Shaunette Nelson, one son Harold R. Nelson, Jr. He had twelve (12) grand-children and 15 great grandchildren. One devoted Aunt Mary Jackson and Four Uncles Frank Nelson Jr, James Davis, Sr. (Ester), Charles Davis (Loretta) and Warren Davis. Four Sisters Evelyn Robinson, Jacquelyn Johnson (Dowell), Wanda Nelson-Smith and Debra Powell (Dwayne), Six brothers Leon Davis, Sr, Milton Robinson, Thomas Robinson, Carl Davis, Lilton Davis, Jr., Vernon A. Nelson, Among them three devoted Leon Davis, Sr. Carl Davis and Vernon A. Nelson.

Known for his strong will, perseverance and physical strength, Harold loved ones take refuge in knowing that as his health declined, his sprit was strengthened beyond all earthly boundaries. Harold is at peace and resting in the loving arms of God.
