Fred Douglas Minor Sr., entered into his final rest on August 26, 2022. He was born on January 13, 1933 in Caroline County, Virginia to the late Rev. Harry Minor and Louvinia Minor. He is proceeded in death by his wife Dorothy Mae Minor and his siblings; Genial H. Minor, Thurston Minor, Maria L. Smith.

His early education was achieved in Caroline County Public School, He later attended the Virginia Technical Center in Richmond Virginia to train as a mechanic. He started his career at Filippo Lumber Corporation in Doswell, VA as a driver for many years from which he retired after 20+ years of dedicated services.

Fred met his wife, Dorothy Minor in Caroline County, VA. They were married on 01/15/1954 and was married for 61 years until her passing on 09/12/2015. Fred & Dorothy enjoyed traveling and road trips to California and Canada to name a few. He loved to spend time with his family especially holidays. He enjoyed gathering with his friends where they went out to eat very often. He also enjoyed gardening, fishing, and reading the newspaper. He would help anyone in need that he could including visiting the Sick & Shut-in.

Fred leaves to cherish precious memories three sons; Rev. Fred (Minster Jean) Minor Jr., Franklin (Dawnmaria) Minor, Michael Minor Sr., and one step son Earl (Eula) Thomas, five daughters; Ella(deceased Wayne) Wood, Althea (Karl) King, Teresa Minor-Waddy, Sandra Jean (Harold) Scott, and Marlene Minor; one sister Mammie (Jewel) Smith, one sister-in-law Rosetta Minor; thirteen grandchildren, and fourteen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives, and friends;
