Over the years Fatima served as a Personal Care Assistant providing care for the elderly. Recent years have been committed to being her mother‘s Caretaker, full-time.

She attended Washington, D. C. and Stafford County Virginia school systems, where she previously resided.

Fatima spent her spare time enjoying friends, writing poetry, creating hair products, and oils.

Fatima was preceded in death by her grandparents Lucy Vines Strother and Thomas William Strother of Stafford, VA; Druecillia and Carroll McClain of Washington, D. C.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving parents mother Carolyn Ward of Fredericksburg, Virginia and loving father Micheal (Kim Garrish) McClain of Washington DC. Also bereaved are her sibling, Malik Carroll Poleto of Pennsylvania Danny Garrish of D.C; an Aunt Sheila Strother of Stafford, Virginia; three uncles: Uncle Richard (Richard Vines Abdul Raheem Shabazz), Uncle Tony McClain, and Uncle Gary McClain all from Washington, D.C.
