Fatima was born May 16, 1984 in Washington DC at Walter Reed Hospital to Caroline Ward and Micheal McClain.

Baptized at Berean Baptist Church in King George Virginia on her mothers birthday, a year ago, Fatima loved the Lord. She was a dedicated daughter committed to caring for her mom. Over the years Fatima served as a Personal Care Assistant providing care for the elderly. Recent years have been committed to being her mother‘s Caretaker, full-time.

She attended Washington, D. C. and Stafford County Virginia school systems, where she previously resided.

Fatima spent her spare time enjoying friends, writing poetry, creating hair products, and oils.

Fatima was preceded in death by her grandparents Lucy Vines Strother and Thomas William Strother of Stafford, VA; Druecillia and Carroll McClain of Washington, D. C.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving parents mother Carolyn Ward of Fredericksburg, Virginia and loving father Micheal (Kim Garrish) McClain of Washington DC. Also bereaved are her sibling, Malik Carroll Poleto of Pennsylvania Danny Garrish of D.C; an Aunt Sheila Strother of Stafford, Virginia; three uncles: Uncle Richard (Richard Vines Abdul Raheem Shabazz), Uncle Tony McClain, and Uncle Gary McClain all from Washington, D.C.

Fatima also leaves to cherish, her best friend Khaleem Rudder, her God-daughter Dayjana Fitzgerald (aka Pooh-Pooh and Pudazz) and a host of close cousins, friends, and God-children. Additionally, Fatima leaves her Applehead Chihuahua, CoCo-Chanel.

The family thanks the many friends and family for much-needed love and financial support.
