Everdene A. Foxx-Wiley known as Georgeanna transitioned from this life to her heavenly home on Tuesday, May 19, 2020. Georgeanna was born to the late Harry and Estelle Johnson on October 25, 1942.

She was preceded in death by her parents Harry and Estelle Johnson, husbands John Henry Foxx and Cyrus G. Wiley, son Wendell B. Foxx and sister Gertrude Johnson.

Georgeanna was educated in the Caroline County School System. She joined Jericho Baptist Church at an early age and attended until she married and moved to Washington, D.C.

Georgeanna was a committed and dedicated wife and mother. Her doors hung on welcome hinges for family members seeking employment in the city. She then later became the loving caretaker for many of the same family members’ children.

She constantly gave by serving and helping others throughout her family and her local church communities. She retired From General Services Administration and later worked and retired a second time from The Hotel Washington.
She leaves to cherish her memory 1 grandson Corey Wendell (Tenise), 1 Granddaughter Shari Minnie; 6 Great grandchildren Tiffani, Ezra, Israel, Priest and Titus Foxx and Joseph Pierre Jones; 5 sisters Essie B. Thomas and Thelma T. Thomas of Ruther Glen, Arlene V. Fox and Rose Etta Hale of Washington, DC. Estelle Marie Goodall of Richmond, VA; 2 brothers Jessie L. Johnson of Suitland, Maryland and Harry T. Johnson of Bowling Green, VA; 1 daughter-in-Law Minnie Collins; 2 sisters-in-law Polly Palmore (Marvin) and Josephine Butler. A special family friend John A. Goodall. A host of Nieces, Nephews, Cousins other family members and friends.
